Maine Service-Learning Celebration
| Students and eductors from 14 Maine schools participated in the 2008 Hall of Flags Service-Learning Celebration. Participants shared their accomplishments with each other and state legislators. |

The exhibition of student work was followed by an award ceremony where Governor John Baldacci recognized the participants for their outstanding work, “Education that combines both academics and service to the community is vitally important to Maine students today. These students represent the future of Maine, and they make the future look very bright.” |
| The Governor and Education Deputy Commissioner, Angela Faherty, presented each school with a service-learning achievement award. |
