KIDS Awards

KIDS Consortium annually recognizes outstanding service-learning projects and community organizations for their contributions to high-quality K-12 service-learning experiences in Maine. The awards are given out at KIDS Consortium’s Hall of Flags Service-Learning Showcase Celebration, an event where over 100 Maine K-12 students and educators gather to celebrate and share the successes of their projects and raise awareness about service-learning among state legislators.

Awards are given in two categories:

  1. Service-Learning Project Awards are given to KIDS model service-learning projects that exhibit academic rigor, civic engagement and overall excellence.
  2. Community Partner Leadership Awards are given to community organizations that demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact on students and an enthusiasm for service-learning.
