Living Democracy: Service-Learning Projects

Throughout the grant, the school district teams from Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, worked to integrate service-learning into their local social studies curriculum and assessments of student learning at various grade levels – ensuring the continuation of these laboratories for democracy for participating schools and communities. Over the three years, students collaborated with community organizations on numerous projects, including:
