Matt Robinson Joins KIDS Consortium Staff

Auburn, ME - KIDS Consortium is pleased to announce that Matt Robinson of Gray, Maine has joined their staff as an education consultant. At KIDS (Kids Involved Doing Service-Learning), Mr. Robinson will work with school districts throughout Maine and New England on service-learning - offering a wide range of professional development opportunities and assistance to leadership teams working on policy and administrative support for service-learning. Service-learning is a teaching strategy that connects classroom instruction with community service opportunities - challenging students to identify, research and solve real problems and needs in their cities and towns.

Based in Auburn, KIDS Consortium helps transform classrooms and communities through an award-winning educational model that has touched more than a quarter-million students to date. KIDS assists teachers, administrators and community partners as they work with K-12 students to identify, research and address real community challenges. Students are involved in powerful learning experiences, forge stronger ties to their communities, and gain the skills and confidence they need to become engaged citizens. Founded in 1992, KIDS is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 40 school districts in Maine and throughout New England.

A resident of Gray, Maine, Mr. Robinson has a history of fifteen years of service in Maine schools. He taught students at the middle and high school levels in alternative and regular education settings. Mr. Robinson holds a Masters in Education from the University of Maine and a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Maine at Farmington.
