Meet Us at a Conference

KIDS Consortium staff will be leading workshops and sharing information in exhibit halls at events in Maine, New England and nationally over the coming months.

September 5 - Northern New England American Planning Association Annual Conference, “Planning for the NET Generation” – Woodstock Inn, Woodstock, Vermont

Join us in a workshop entitled “KIDS As Planners”, where you can learn more about KIDS, a longtime community-level, service-learning program for students, and how to apply the KIDS model to your community.

October 3-5 - New England Environmental Educators Conference, “A Journey Home: Fostering Ecologically Centered Communities” - Sargent Center for Outdoor Education, Hancock, New Hampshire

Join us in a workshop entitled “Developing Agents of Change Through Service-Learning”, where you can learn more about the KIDS model of service-learning and young people becoming agents of change as they tackle important environmental issues – from global climate change to sustainable agriculture.

October 16-17 - Association of Computer Technology Educators of Maine, “Maine Education Conference – The Way Learning Should Be” - Civic Center, Augusta, Maine

October 23-24 - Maine Association of Middle Level Educators Annual Conference - Sugarloaf USA, Carrabassett Valley, ME –

Join us in a workshop entitled "Project Citizen: An Engaging Way to Address a New Social Studies Standard", where you can learn more about fulfilling the new Maine Learning Results standard "Applications of Social Studies Processes, Knowledge, and Skills." Project Citizen provides the tools needed to address A1, A2 and A3.

November 6-8 - Coalition of Essential Schools Fall Forum, “Live it. Learn it. Change it.” – The Westin Charlotte, Charlotte, North Carolina
