Overview

KIDS Consortium provides customized services to meet the service-learning needs of educators, school administrators and community members. These might include:

• Staff professional development on basic service-learning awareness
• Consulting with administrative teams to identify school/district needs and develop action plans
• Consulting with educators to implement a KIDS model service-learning project
• Workshops on facilitating collaboration between schools and community organizations.

Understanding Service-Learning

To help educators and administrators understand the basics of service-learning, we recommend customizing a Service-Learning Awareness Workshop (1-2 hours)

Implementing Service-Learning Projects

To help educators gain knowledge and skills to implement service-learning projects, we recommend customizing:

• Get Started with Service-Learning Workshop (1/2 day – 1 day)
• Institute for Educators (2-4 days)

Integrating Service-Learning

To learn how to integrate service-learning in to your curriculum and/or district strategic plan, we recommend customizing a Sustainability Planning Workshop (1/2 - 2 days)

Community-School Collaboration

To learn how your community organization can collaborate with a school on a service-learning project, we recommend customizing an Introduction to Service-Learning for Community Partners (2 hours - 1 day)

One-On-One or Group Consulting
